The thrill of the Cup is upon us once more as Portugal experiences the third round of the Taça da Portugal. Steve attends Fabril Barreiro versus Olivais e Moscavide and comes back singing the praises of the experience, together with a few songs of the Olivais e Moscavide claque, the Moscaknights, who cheered their team on to a 0-1 away victory and into the draw for the 4th round. Joining them, just, will be Benfica, who scraped through on penalties against impressive second division (third tier) outfit Penafiel at the Luz. Liedson returned to his scoring ways for Sporting against Leiria, and Tarik Sektioui returned to the scoresheet for Porto against Sertanense.
In part two it’s inquisition time as we take a look at Portugal’s poor displays in the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Albania and the aftermath.
Finally, in part 3, we have a few bits and pieces taken from the sports dailies to report, like luxury Figo watches and A Bola trying perhaps a little too hard to get Cristiano Ronaldo the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
